Cleaning Tanks

Hey guys, I just got a used 10 gallon tank yesterday. It is really dirty, but I was wondering what I should use to clean it with. I know soap can harm the fish, but water just isn't going to cut it. I am also getting a used 30+ gallon tank today (both were free ) so I'll have to clean it too. Thank for your help!!

Vinegar and water work well. Use a 50-50 solution. I used it to clean out a 4 gallon tank. Just make sure you rinse it really well until the smell is gone. Then you might want to wait a few days after its cleaned to let it air out.

I had forgotten about vineger, thanks for the advice DQ! One of the tanks is really nasty, but I'm not setting it up yet, so I dont feel like cleaning it yet either :P Someone else is giving me a 45 gallon this week too, but I may get bigger fish for it. I've always wanted a puffer so I may try one in there and keep my betta in the 30 gallon.
