i seem to be able to find quite a few nice plants around. And with the CO2 system, i see where you are coming from, the cartridge systems are like a minimum of 180 i think. I just bought a pressurised refillable canister with all the accessories for 400. Absolutely ridiculous.

Yeah I'm trying to find some nice pieces of either dried bonsai or gold vine wood and then hopefully plant in around it, tie moss to parts of the wood and go for a very natural looking tank

This is my tank so far, still trying to fight the hair algae problem and keep it under control. I have ADA powersand, amazonia type 2, blyxa, rotala h'ra, HC, phoenix moss tied onto the gold vine, malaysian driftwood, CO2 injection, HOB, 55W heater and a 32W 7000k LED light. Currently have 4 otocinclus in there. 2 more types of plants to come

I was wondering why my alga problem was through the roof, the light might too close to the water's surface, might be too much ferts, or some other unstable parameter.
