Currently my betta Milton is in some cheap store tank with a totally unsuitable light for plants. The tank itself is good, for a fake planted tank however live plants just die with this light (and there's no way to replace it, iv'e tried ugh!) so im looking for something a but more suitable in regards to sustaining plants!
I really enjoy designing tanks using live plants and giving a go at aqua scaping however to do this i need a tank that not only has sufficient filtration but a good lighting system as well.
I have two tanks in mind that are both readily able in my area to buy:
- Fluval spec 5 gallon "long"
- Aqua one nano 25 (http://www.bettatrading.com.au/AquaNano.php
Both have there pros and cons for me but naturally i'm leaning towards the Fluval just based on personal experience with the brand (currently i have a Fluval EBI and i love it), but some sources say the light is very weak and plants struggle under it. I have no information regarding the Aqua one tank however seeing it in the shop it looks really good (i think it looks better then the Fluval 5 gal long)
If anyone has used any of these two tanks i would REALLY appreciate it if you could put down a list of pros and cons that you have personally and weather or not you think these tanks are suitable for plants and keeping a betta.
OR if you think you have a better tank then please post a link!! (i want the tank to be 5 gallons if possible!)
Thanks in advance!
