Helloooooooooooo, I am not very good at this keeping fish malarkey… however my boyfriend bought me an Albino Frog and a fancy goldfish on Sunday!!

I have a 7L hexagon tank… which is 20cm wide, 20cm deep and 32cm heigh.

I don’t have the money for a bigger tank and I am hoping they are going to be ok.

However when I was looking around I noticed that my tank is an ideal size for a Betta Fish!!

Is this correct?? How much do they cost?? Where can you buy them from?? What would I need to keep one?? And can they be kept with other fish/frogs??

Well Im not very good to US conversions but when I did the 7L to gallons its came out to 1.85g but I did the dimensions it came to 3.38g, sadly either way the goldfish will outgrow it if it survives and would need at least a 20g, but these goldfish lots of times have diseases from bad petstore conditions and will not live long enough to grow that large. The tank would be fine for the betta but if it really is 1.8g its not big enough for anymore tankmates, but the 3.38g is big enough for the betta and a small tankmate but I dont know what the frog needs. I just had a mental lock right here and dont know where Im going with this anymore...

thanks for your help.... my tank is about 1.8 gallons. Are Betta's ok on thier own?

Yep, Bettas do great by themselves in a tank. You CAN do community tanks with Bettas, but I think you have to have like a 20 gal. or something huge like that. And it takes a lot of research for fish compatability. XD

A 1.8 will be fine for 1 betta. Bettas are just fine by themselves and don't need tankmates.
