In terms of easy fin maintenance, Pk should be easier than HM that needs constant exercise and clean water.
Genetics are practically the same. I say choose a color you like and work on it. Try not to choose a color that is actually a multi genetic combo like white, yellow, lavender etc. Read on color genetic and choose a line of colors - in case you want to try other colors . . . like turquoise/green, steel blue, copper, white platinum, etc
Black orchids might be easy too . . . since its a combo anyway, you don't really need to make them solid - unless you want to show. Black melano is out of the question because you will have to breed in and out due to the infertile female. But Super black is OK to work with . . . though getting them to show desired form is rather difficult . . . or I was just unlucky.
What ever color you fancy. . . . .
oh, welcome to the forum. And good luck
