Whisper 3i

I just got the Whisper 3i for my 2.5g tank. How often should I do water changes? I have my pretty boy, The Doctor, and my newly acquired Ghost Shrimp.

Before I got the filter I was doing 3x water changes a week, two 100% changes and one 50% change. I don't have a *set* schedule (tho I should...) to do my changes but with my new filter maybe I can do the water changes a little less now? *hopes*

How often should I do a water change and what percentage?

1-4gal with a filter
Twice weekly-1-50% water only and 1-50% with substrate cleaning by vacuum or stir and dip method.
Filter media needs a swish/rinse in old tank water a couple of times a month.
