Thanks. :]

I'm a little worried about him, though. Cause my family and I are getting ready to go on vacation (we leave today), and I don't have anyone who could come feed him.

Also, I noticed something on his side today when I fed him; its kind of brownish? I'm not sure what it is. I asked my brother, whose had bettas before, and he said I didn't need to worry. But I don't know. :[

I got him maybe a month and a half ago, and at the time I had no idea about the vacation. I called the place I bought him from and they told me that bettas could go without eating, but I still feel terrible for leaving him.

My mom said that she'd come back in the middle of the week to check on him, but still. ><

Bettas can go up to a month without eating. I think he should be fine going a little while with out food. If you are really worried about it, get him a live plant that he can eat the organisms and what not off of it. Or, have a friend pet sit for you if you are really worried about it.

We all feel bad when we go away and have to let others feed them or not get to feed them while we are gone...but they really are okay :)
