Sorry about the loss, how old was the betta? maybe old age? that is usually a sudden death.

I had a breeding pair of double dark superveil angels for 12 years, I came home 1 day form work and the male was dead, the next day the female died, no signs of illness, just died, but 12 years for an angel is a nice long life in captivity!

i dont think she was that old. maybee one or one and one half. she was a small fish. about half the size of the male

ugh that happened to me a week or so ago :( my favorite one died. I cleaned his tank, treated the water, let it warm up, plopped him in. Went to lunch and other stuff, came back and he was laying on the bottom of the tank. My other crown tail male almost died too, but he pulled through thank god.

Im sorry about your betta :( its always so sad when they die and you dont know why!
