Betta chasing otos

I just put two otos in with my betta in a 5 gallon tank. The first 24 hours Flair didn't even worry about them. He would look at them like "what are you and why are you here?" but would leave them alone. I just walked in to see him chasing them. I gave him some brine shrimp and he seems to not be bothering them to much....ok wrong he just chased one. Do you think he'll bother them? I mean they aren't even around him. They are doing their cleaning on the side of the tank and he is just randomly coming up to them and chasing them. He was really okay with them being there for awhile...

I duno what to do because I have no where to put htese otos if I take them out. I am afraid I will wake up to dead or no otos in the tank...

If the problem continues, I would either put a different betta in with them, if you have any others, or you need to get different tank mates. Maybe he's just the kind of fish that wants to be alone.

I guess for now you could just keep an eye on them and if the chasing gets bad then you'll have to try to find a place to put them.

Well I kept an eye till about 2 something this morning....and he had for the most part stopped. He'll chase once in awhile...but he usually stops. I'm not sure if he has the intention to hurt them or if he is trying to play. I have a feeling it's not the last choice. He hasn't bothered them this morning. I'll just keep an eye out and see what he does.
