How about Psussenes? He's also called the Silver Pharaoh. :)

EDIT! Oh, no! I see you already have a Psussenes! Too funny. :) I'll think of something else....

With him being a crowntail, maybe Den? He is the first pharaoh depicted as wearing the double (red and white) crown of Egypt. He was also known as "Udimu," if "Den" sounds too plain. :)

That's another good possibility. I may end up going into mythology if I can't settle on a pharaoh name. Psusennes may have been the silver pharaoh, but he was also connected to Ramesses the Great by moving his city to Tanis after the Nile shifted away from the original site so there was a nice connection there between the name of my first and second bettas.

This new boy has a very healthy appetite. He ate a pinch of micro pellets only a few hours after coming home and eagerly chomped a couple for breakfast. I didn't want to wait on offering food since he is a bit on the thin side. Given his interest in the food, I don't think it will take very long for his to reach a healthy size.

I did consider another version of Den's name, Dewen, but I have decided to go with Menkaure. So many things about him com in threes: third pyramid, 3 smaller subsidiary pyramids, known for statue triads. Plus I do like the name and many of the status are in greywacke so they kind of match my boy's silver color.

Thanks, Deanna. He was very excited when I came over to tell him what his name would be, but he was quite shocked to learn that Sunday is a fasting day for all fish. Considering how eagerly he was gobbling yesterday, this is not going to go over well. Oh well, have to make sure he doesn't get bloated in the eagerness for food.

Lol, it's easy for me since I'm not with my fish Monday and Tuesday anyway so naturally it's their fasting day But I agree, it is hard to fast them when they've got those big...pleading eyes.... XD

It is a bit small, but it will do until I can get the larger tank cleaned out. I have to give it a very thorough scrub and replace the filter media before either of my fish can go in there again.

Menkaure is being an imp today. I fed him supper before going out for a couple hours. Now he's trying to convince me that, no he didn't actually have supper yet and I should give him some right now. I know better and he has to wait for breakfast. I find reminding myself that the fasting day is to help prevent them from becoming bloated helps me to keep the willpower to resist feeding then. They sure do make it as difficult as possible though.
