It is usually recommended 2 -3 pellets 2x a day and fasting once a week.

No problem. Your betta is beautiful btw! Bettas will eat themselves to death if you let them...

Kudos for looking up good info before learning the hard way!

What dr2b said is great info. You can take it a step further, but is not needed.

My feeding schedule is this:

Sunday:
morning: daphnia
evening: daphina

Monday:
morning: pellet
evening: pellet

Tuesday:
morning: pellet
evening: brine shrimp

Wednesday:
morning: pellet
evening: blood worms

Thursday:
morning: pellet
evening: pellet

Friday:
morning: pellet
evening: daphnia

Saturday:
Fast day

My betta are spoiled rotten, kept in 5.5 gallon filtered, cycled, naturally planted tanks that get twice a week water 25% water changes with one of the changes using a gravel vacuum. I add plant fertilizer after every water change.

If I had as many betta as you do i could only afford to feed once a day too.

Let me add that I give 1-2 pellets in the morning and 2-3 in the evening on night pellet days.

Well I try not to be an idiot when it comes to animals lives and I never trust LPS or the directions unless I get a second opinion. Plus I heard uneaten food can screw up your tanks ability to cycle and can cause cloudiness
