You need to treat well water with a water conditioner. Also make sure it isn't to hard for the fish...

But says 2 tsps every 10 gallon
and do i need to tap my water

You adjust it. I use 2 drops per gallon in my tap water...
I don't understand "do I need to tap my water" - do you mean do you need to add it to your tap water?

Yeah you need to test it to make sure your pH, hardness, ammonia, etc aren't out of the normal areas.
