Sponge filter air flow question

I couldnt take the noise from the HOB filter anymore since its literally right next to my bed and replaced it with 2 small sponge filters. I got the think that lets you divide one airpump into 2 and has the air flow restriction knobs.
What I want to know is - is there a certain amount of airflow that is needed for the BB?

Yes there is, but it's a lot lower than many people think. A HOB is way overkill in that department. If you have substrate, that will also add to the BB capacity.

Sponge filters will increase your pH by outgassing CO2 and adding O2. You might want to keep an eye on it.

With my sponge filters I make sure there's a steady stream of bubbles & it doesn't seem to bother any of my Bettas. I don't know if there's a set rate or not but it works for me & my tanks.
