Aquarium salt and Bettafix confusion!HELP!

Hi all!
I have a few questions about Aquarium salt...at the moment my little guy is in a VERY small tank (whilst I am waiting for my new tank to arrive!NEXT WEEK!!!).

I want to treat him for what I think may be ich or velvet..im really not too sure which it is.
My tank is about 1Litre (0.22Gallons), and I cant seem to work out how much salt to put in?!
Can I just put some in my tank on a regular basis?
How much is recommended?

Also I then will be moving up to a 2Gallon tank, how much should I put in then?

Also, I put some Bettafix in his water already. Has anyone used this before? Is it any good?

I would just take a little pinch of aquarium salt. As to any other meds I have no clue.

I don't think Betta Fix helps velvet or ick. If its velvet, he'll look like he's got a gold sheen to him and if its ick, he'll look like he was sprinkled with salt.

For treatment you want to mix it in a larger container and then poor into your smaller treatment cup. For mixing salt baths I use a 1 gallon water jug, I fill it with tap water, add 1 teaspoon (5ml) of dissolved salt, then water conditioner, mix it well then poor into a smaller treatment tank.

For regular health I add a pinch of salt to each gallon of water I replace during weekly water changes.

He seems to be doing a little bit better after I added salt to the water.
I think I will give him a salt bath tonight.
