Silly betta!

So I've been watching my gender/tail confused betta for a few days since he/she came up with a white spot and since watching? I've noticed that he/she has found a fondness for the bubble nest that they've created.

Cinderella guards it and being surrounded by two other males? That means more edgy attitude and keeping his eye out. He swims down to flare at my CT and then quickly goes back to his bubble nest, gently poking at them and creating more.

It's quite adorable and if I knew what gender he was for sure as well as having experience with breeding them? I'd go try find him a nice woman. :P

bubble nests arent exclusive to males, a female will make them at times.

Some females not only build bubble nests, but also stash their own unfertilized eggs in them. Determining gender in bettas can be so frustrating sometimes.

Some males even have the white dot on their bellies like Cinderella does. It doesn't help that I bought uh.. Him/her from the sorority tank as well. <<
