Exactly. That's why it's always better to get a betta directly from a trusted breeder. But also, the prices from trusted breeders are really high, and sometimes you can find that same type of betta in the store for 4 bucks. It may have some little disease that you may need to help it with, but... all the same. However.
The other day when I was in petco, I found a betta that looked like faith's green/gold butterflies, only in veiltail, and i think they had a slight case of finrot. But for 4 dollars, I'd rather get one of them and treat the fin rot than pay like 70 dollars for one from faith.
