Tired betta?

I know I am asking a super ton of questions but I am nevious.
My betta(Of 4 days) seems super tired today. He usually swims around(espically when I watch him). He also got spooked, the first time I had seen him swim soo fast. I touched my finger to the glass he usually comes closer but he darted accross to the other side then tried to hide. Though after a minute of hidding he went back to his "Spot" and is just floating there. I thought maybe I left the light on to long llast night maybe he was trying to rest.
But since I am new to this I figured better to ask to many question over to few lol.
Any of these sound like bad signs?

He's probably just getting used to his new home. If you only have the light on for maybe 4 hours today, turn it off the rest of the day to keep him calm. If he's still sort of freaking out you can cover the tank up with a towel or something, the darkness gives a calming effect. But sometimes it can take them a while to really get used to their new home.

It's kind of like when you go somewhere new, you're probably not going to be very comfortable for a while Just give him some times ^^

Most likely he is fine. It could be a quirk in his personality though like my guy who is most active when the lights are out at night. He does all his nest building at night in the dark and sleeps all day.

Females will build very small ones but nothing like a male will build.

And someone males never build nests while others build huge ones! My boy Rembrandt never built a nest and I've had him over 6 months and Jarvis who've I've had only 2 weeks built a huuuuuuge nest the first night lol. So it comes down to the male and how lazy they are or aren't XD

My female builds small and random nests occasionally spread across the surface of the water not attached to anything. As opposed to my male who builds large and very deliberate nests attached to things that are near or on the surface of the water.
