Hello ^_^

So.. New to the site. Not so new to Bettas, but haven't had one since I was like.. six. Our Betta joined us for our daughter's birthday. Went to Wal-Mart (shocking, I know) and discovered really healthy fish. Lexie picked him out of TONS of gorgeous fish. Named him "Blue".

Hopefully, I'll fit in here. I've already been bitten with the bug and want more...

I'm new too, joined yesterday actually. Congrats on the new addition. I've had 2 wal-mart bettas live nice and long, and a third didn't turn out so well. I moved on from wal-mart bettas and gotten my four th (and current) betta, Mufasa, from petsmart. He's doing good so far, anyway good luck with Blue!

He is a character. I have really never had a Betta with so much up front personality. I am trying desperately to nab a picture of him.. unfortunately, it's also his favorite game to play with me... -_-

Lol, Mufasa is VERY active and fiesty, that's why i got him. I needed an active durable fish because my last one was very scrawny and lethargic when I got him and he sadly died. Mufasa spends hours a day chasing his reflection but luckily he poses for pics and videos.

You can't really see his colors well. Partially from the light, and partially from him being a tease. He's a gorgeous Crowntail. Black face that cuts right to blue just after his gills. The lower fins (the ones right below the ones on his sides) are a deep shot of red.

He likes to hide in his plant, then dart out at me.

He's beautiful. I would put a couple pics of Mufasa on here but haven't figured out how using mobile. But he does have a youtube video just about him. He's a big halfmoon. His body is pinkish white with red markings on his head and his tail is red with shiny light blue between the creases. The fins small fins right beside his gills are see-through with white tips, his tail is also white tipped.
