Popping in to report that Mr. Fishy is now doing well back home with his owners. Can't explain what happened as he didn't eat for several days but the owner said 'just like that' he started to eat and he's fine now. The owner liked the 'new home' I purchased and did reimburse me.

Perhaps one day I will get my own betta and come back here. Again, many many thanks to all of you that offered advice and suggestions and of course, concern for Mr. Fishy. This place is very valuable!

I just got a sudden mental image of a bunch of pale, skinny people stalking the back aisles of pet stores, brine shrimp in hand, looking for their next "fix".

^.^

You seem like a very kind person to care so much about this fish....how nice of you to do what you did for him! I'm glad he is doing better and I bet you will end up with a betta of your own sooner or later. They are great pets and everyone here is always helpful to new betta owners.

PenninInk: lol!
