I would get some silk plants or real plants. Plastic plants can have sharp or pointed edges that can tear a betta's fins.

i would go for slik becasue easy eir to take care of but welcome to the fist fourn bettas also like to lay on the rocks and relax for short periods of time

And could my betta have a little friend In his tank or would that be bad

You said your tank was about a gallon or two. That is just big enoughfor the betta. There wouldn't be any room for anything else. Don't worry, bettas are solitary fish and prefer to live alone.

I personally love live plants. They are a lot more helpful in the tanks. They help to keep the tank cleaner by using excess nutrients. They really aren't hard to take care of - you just put some liquid fertilizer/food in every so many days and in some cases just put some root tabs in every so often. Depending on what you get, you wouldn't have to worry about trimming and pruning to much. But that's just my opinion lol. I originally started out with fake plants. And like DQ said, bettas are solitary fish, and for the size tank you have you wouldn't have any room for tank buddies. Also, I think snails require different water parameters than bettas - which puts bettas at higher risk for fin rot and other diseases.

Is their anyway to play with swimmy like I saw this one laser pointer and it says fish love following the light

Wow I just went to see him cause I just woke up a few minutes ago and about a queter of his cage was filled with bubbles
