I'll just have my whole room full of dragon bettas. Giving me attitude and begging me for food. I wanted to take all the bettas away from the petstore and give them lovely homes but I only have one tank.
In the future though. When I get a job and more room for them.
Gave him a some food and he managed to eat one of them. He was disinterested in the others so he is probably stressed out still. I picked up all the dropped food and watched him for a bit.
In the last two photos you can see his ragged pectoral fin. He's moving it around more today but he still prefers his other fin to this one. I'll try to not bother him a lot today but I might get a towel to cover the tank if I keep running into my room too much.
As I was taking photos of him, he went up to the surface to take a breath and sat there for a few seconds. He was kind of floating on his side a bit before he swam off. Is this something I should be worried about? Or is Odahviing still getting used to his new home?
He is, isn't he? All that 10 gal tank to himself, he's going to be one spoiled kid. He's taken to hiding behind/under the red bridge. I looked into his tank this morning and couldn't find him for a second. Then I took a peek at the bridge and there he was.
Hopefully in the next week he'll be more outgoing and let me play with him. So far he's avoiding me and backs up whenever I get too close to him.
Thank you! It's only the second day of having him and I'm anxious if he's alright and if the tank is at the right parameters. I just want to sit by his tank and watch him all day long.
He's currently just floating around the top of his tank right now. I have yet to see him sit on the betta hammock. He usually sits on the bottom or floats at the top. Saw him exploring one of the terracotta pots I have in there and he seems to like it.
