New Girl :D

I went to my grandma's about 3 hours away this weekend. We went to walmart, and of course, I had to check out the fish department. Ended up leaving with a mislabled girl (the lid said crowntail male) and some ludwigia for my planted tank. So now, meet Fire, my blue and red crowntail girl. She was definitely worth the extra bucks having to pay the male price, since the walmart kept telling me that she was a he x) Silly non-fish people. She is so active and silly XD Two more girls until I can start up my sorority tank! Can't wait to get her home tomorrow ^^

Same! And walmart is the worst when it comes to negotiating with them XD This is what they told me, and I quote, "All we get is males, they are brought here from Minneapolis and are sexed before coming. We never get females because they don't sell." This is coming from someone who works the clothing department, and has probably never owned a fish in their life.

Wow ... Yeah, my walmart RANDOMLY got in some halfmoon elephant ear girls. So, my friend got one and I got two. Mine are a copper and a blue, my friend has a red. All girls are butterflies. :)

Hehe :P

Still, I see that your girl has some recovering fins. Hopefully they'll look gorgeous by the time she's done growing. She looks like a baby. :)

Yeah, her fins should grow back nicely :) All of the fish there were only about 1.5 inches XD She was bigger than most of the males though, except for one of the males that looked exactly like her (color wise) XD

Awesome! I love rescuing betas from walmart, because you can see how they appreciate being in a nice tank instead of cramped, dirty cup.
