Does switching tanks stress out Bettas?

I have 2 betta's, one in a one gallon and one in a half gallon (I plan on upgrading soon!)
Kiro is in the one gallon. He doesnt really swim as much as William, who's in the half gallon. I was thinking of putting William in the one gallon and see if he enjoys more space, and putting Kiro in the half gallon.
Would this stress them out or would it be okay?

I don't think there's really one answer to this question. With some bettas, yes, and with some bettas, no. Depends on the personality...unfortunately you usually can't tell until you try. I have some bettas that need constant enrichment or they get depressed, and others that will absolutely freak out if you change their environment.

He's very pretty. :)

And they are doing well, Kiro seems to like the smaller space better. :)

Maybe Kiro just wasn't swimming, becuase he was sad in such a small place. It's like jogging in an elevator.

I'm glad they're doing well. I bet they'll love the upgrade when it comes though :) My bettas work off 3 pellets twice a day just swimming in 5-10 gal tanks and I've upped their frozen food too!

jazattackk;
I know his bowl is small.
He did swim around quite a bit, but William swims more, I just decided to try something new and see if they like it.
I am putting them in a divided 10 gallon eventually.

Kim; awesome! :) I need to buy some bloodworms for them next time I go to the pet store...
