I have Red Cherry Shrimp, Dwarf Orange Crayfish and Thai Micro Crabs in Si the Betta's tank. The tank in on my end table so I get to watch them pretty closely.
I feed Si around noon and again at 6:00. The inverts I feed between 10 and 11 at night. I always place their food in the front right corner of the tank.
A couple of nights go, I noticed that at about 10:15 there is the mass trek to the area where I feed. Everyone mills around for about an hour and then they all slowly drift away if I refrain from feeding them. When I see them start the exodus, I feed.
Anyhow, I thought it interesting that they seem to have developed an internal clock.
I know the dogs and the cat don't let us forget when it's time for dinner or if we forgot breakfast. Never thought about the inverts doing the same.
What about you guys? Anyone have similar experiences?
