Something attached to the gills

i was watching chloe swim and i noticed that she had a clear/ whitish color almost looking string from the right side of her gills. its attached to her and moves with her when she swims. it doesnt seem to be a bother but it also seems to be getting longer, anyone have a clue?

Can you post a picture? It almost sounds to me like some kind of parasite but we need a pic to be sure what it is.

Hmmm... I get these weird fuzzy things at the bottom of my tank that sometimes stick to my fish. I usually just change the water and scrubbing my tank with hot water and that gets rid of them for a while. O.o; They haven't been really harmful as far as I know. But I don't know if that's the same case as yours. D:
