I have a place like that, I've only been in there once since I became betta addicted and they were out of 'em, so I don't know how much they charge or how well they are kept. It's clean and bright, unlike the one you described, but I have never seen a dead fish in there, not once. I saw one that was dying, but I told the man that was working and he actually made a sad face and went to check on it right away. As for your store, I agree that I would buy one too if I knew it was heathier. It does make scence with all the extra care they give them. And I would rather give my money to someone that will continue to do so.
