Hallo hallo

Hello everyone. I'm fairly new to seriously keeping an aquarium, after I got my CT betta Phish.

He wasn't my first betta though; I had another one a few years ago, but back then I was pretty naive to keeping a betta properly so I kept him in a small bowl (less than a gallon) in my bedroom for a few months until the power went out during the winter while I was out of state, effectively killing him.

But now I have done research in keeping bettas (with some help from my job at a certain large chain of pets stores that shall not be named) and now my Phish is currently in a 2.5 gallon, heated tank that I'm making an attempt at cycling. I plan to upgrade him to the 20 gallon tank I had acquired from a regular customer who was trying to get rid of it, though actually setting it up would have to wait until after we move in October. Might add some small bottom feeders to that tank, like maybe some cory cats.

I hope to find some more good info from experienced aquarists here, because I know I'm going to need it especially once I'm ready to set up the big tank.
