I'm a longtime lurker (two and a half years or so) and I've had about three bettas. (One, my room mate killed freshman year because "it kept looking at her", one who I tried to save from Walmart but who couldn't hold on, and one I've now had for three years.)
My female blue CT's name is UV but I've been calling her Grannyfish as she's been rather slow lately.
Anyways, I've come across a 10gal tank and I figured I'd spend my summer trying to scape it. For the past three or four months I've been reading about aquascaping and iwagami tanks and I've decided I'm going to try it out.
I'm not going to stress out Grannyfish and take her out of the comfort of her quiet 5gal tank so I'm thinking about getting a male betta and some corycats. I already have some old 5gal tanks to use for quarantining whenever it is I get my fish; however, my 10gal is just chilling on my dresser empty and naked right now.
I'd love any advice y'all have as far as scaping goes!
Also, I've gotten so many different answers as to how to stock the tank and I really want to avoid overstocking.
- Male Betta
- 3(4?) corycats.
- Ghost shrimp
- Apple snail
Just some ideas and I'd love to get clarification. I think I'm going to stay away from tetras which were my first plans as tank mates.
Sorry for the influx of information! Just saying hi and letting you guys know what I'll be up to for the next forever haha.
