I've had this problem the last 2 days. I put my Troublemaker back in the tank, she had some bloat problems, and I had to much water in the tank. Well, I saw Atlas in that side. Luckily they were are separate ends of the tank. I quickly took him out and back to his side! I took out a loott of water and where the food lid is I put the petco lid of top over his section of the tank so he can't jump over. And, this also sounds really bad, but there is a post it note in there as well to block the top (and no it isn't touching the water). I think, since they didn't have any problems when we initially put them in the tank, he was jealous that the empty side is now occupied again!
So, the cheap and quick way to temperamentally solve it is to put a lid, or whatever that would give airway to the tank, but also prevent jumping. :D
(Also, my Troublemaker apparently was the one trying to fight because later when I looked at the tank his pretty top fin looked like there were bites in it!
Well, thankfully there wasn't a bubble nest!!)
