Is that a Worm on my Betta?

i think this is the photo 5green meant to show you, and i hate to tell you but i think 5green is right :'(

Thanks for the link to disease page, but I'd already read it.
What I see on him is like nothing posted there.
This comes & goes, which is weird.
Nothing on him yesterday - today there is a tiny thing sticking
out between his pectoral fins.

Bettaboo & 5green - ty, but it doesn't look ANYTHING like that picture.
I'm about positive it's not anchor worms etc..
Sometimes he's totally clean & it's ONLY in the one place (between the pectoral fins) that this shows up. And when there is something there it's ONE thing that is smooth & has no tentacles or Y shaped things on it.

I'm so frustrated! lol...

answer:

That's poop. Their anus is right behind their ventral fins (the two that hang down in the front).


All this time I thought it was a parasite! lol...
