Hmmm Maybe look into diseases that are usually caused by eating live food? And did you notice anything changes to their overall being?

And as for the one they ate that was sick before... I wonder if it's possible for them to carry a sickness and still be fine, like how a person can carry the flu and not be sick but still pass it onto other people... then that would make sense...
