Any guppy breeders on here?

I'm coming into a small inheritance in maybe a month & want to surprise my mom with turning my 29 gallon tank into a community tank. My entire life guppies have been her favorite fish & she has always wanted some pretty blue ones, which we have always had trouble finding in pet stores. I'd like to make the main fish in this tank be some of those blue guppies for her. I was thinking maybe 2 males & 4 females, but will take advise on the numbers and fish I can put with them. This is purely a tank for enjoyment, I don't plan on breeding (yes I know they are live bearers and will breed if males & females are kept together), but I do want nice fish. They don't have to be perfect, but a nice vibrant blue is what I am looking for. I can probably get some on AB or another online site, but I'd much rather give my money to a forum member than some totally random stranger.

It will be awhile before I order them (I have to wait for the lawyers, paperwork, and all that fun stuff), but I'd like to start pricing them and figuring out where I am going to get them. If you can help me please post pics of the blue guppies you have here or PM me. Thanks!

From what I've learned working at a pet store it should be 3x Females per 1 male. Don't quote me though, I don't know for sure! If anyone more experienced can confirm this that would be great =)

Thank you, that would be good to know. Somewhere I heard it was 2 to 1. I don't want only guppies in my tank so if it's supposed to be 3 to 1 I will probably just go with a small school of male guppies.

I've heard it more preferable for 3:1 at least because of overenthusiastic males chasing females to death. But as long as the girls outnumber the boys by a fair margin, it should be good! But I can't really say much because I haven't had females and I've got 5 boys right now, lol.

even with one male and 3 females, a male can chase a female to death. It's terrible.

I prefer 2 males 5-6 females, the males occasionally duke it out and give the girls a breather.

I also provide a lot of cover for the girls to hide in, and it helps

I used to breed show Guppies with my Dad,many moons ago.
I agree with Skyewillow.
You could try AquaBid,alot of nice ones on there.
I don't do Guppies any more, but still like looking at them.

There's a US breeder on AquaBid who's selling eight male Mocow Blue and Moscow blacks. I think it's AmazingBettas.

You can also find them on eBay.
