2.5 gal /w shrimp?

Alright i had this idea for my next betta, i want to put him in a 2.5 gal with a cherry shrimp or 2. Would that be ok? Its not gunna over load it right? Do i HAVE to have a filter for shrimp? I heard its easy for them to get sucked up. Would the Betta eat/kill the shrimp? What do i feed shrimp?

I would say 1-2 shrimp would be fine. Shrimp have a VERY small bio load, so it doesn't make over stocking much of a problem.

Shrimp will eat anything. Including betta's fins. So, you need to be careful about that! You can put an extra betta pellet in and they will eat that.

Could i add a snail too? what kinda is best? apple snail? mystery snail?

AlexXx, if you want to know anything at all about snails, ask Lupin. He has tons of them and all kinds. He knows everything about them. lol

snails are really hard to keep, at least mystery snails are. I work at a pet store and all of them were dead within a month, I don't usually work animal tech I'm just a cashier but on Saturday mornings I take care of the basic animal needs and scoop dead animals and log and whatnot anyway one Saturday I scooped 10 or 20 dead snails out. Then again, our other animal techs could have taken bad care of the little guys

i say shrimp are good betta can and it is likely that he will eat them if he doesnt like em, my betta likes to play with my shrimp. for feeding just crush up a pellet and put it in for them
