Fluval Edge 6g filter flow rate for betta

I have my betta in a Fluval Edge 6g (not filled to the top) and I was wondering what flow setting others are using if you have a a betta in it. My betta seems to like it at the lowest setting, in fact he likes it so much he plays around with the water flowing out of the filter. However I am not too happy with the water filtering job it's doing and I am wondering if this be because I have it set to the lowest setting?

If you google how to reduce water current from a HOB filter you will find many ways to have your filter on high but have the water pouring back into the aquarium become very slow or does not create a large current. I too have a fluval edge with a beta in it and I reduced the current big time but very effective at filtering the water.

Check this one out.

It says how to baffle a filter but its very effective at reducing current.

I'd keep the flow gentle and not worry. One betta doesn't need too much filtration in a 6G

Thanks for the link, I think I'm gonna try out the sponge method.
