Question what can i put w/a 55 gal sorority & 30 gal w 3 CT males

what are some suggestions for tank mates for either of my tanks?

my 55 gal has 13 females all pretty much get along well. no fin nipping.
id like to add something else

my 30 gallon is divded into 3 for 3 crowntail males
what can i put with them?

anyone know if LONGfinned danios are fin nippers? ( i know zebras are)
could i put them with my females? or will my females nip them?

those fish are FAST, and im scared if i put them in i wont get them out if theres a problem

anyone have any exp. w/ them?

im going to be adding various corys to both tanks. a shoal of 6 in each. 3 at a time.

any suggestions?

Good question, because I'll eventually have a 55 with sorority and I would eventually like other fishies too.

You could get ADFs, but they are a pain to feed in a community tank. Bottom dwellers though.

You could have Platies, guppies (depends on the betta) and other live bearers. The bettas would keep the population down by eating the fry.

In a 55 you could probably have a Pleco (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

You could have Larger tetras. Although tetras seem to be pretty fragile.

White cloud tetras seem to do well with Bettas too.

what are adf's? im not trusting guppies in with that many females, lol nope, no way

i have a tank for guppies, mollies n platys

i dont think a pleco will be good considering the size they get. also, i heard when they get larger they become carnivorous. i dont want my sorority to become lunch.

anyone, please correct me if im wrong

I recently put in 4 skirt tetras with my Alexander the Great. At first he flered very large to show em whos boss but after they were set loose he left em be. Sometimes he even tries to play with them. When you add fish with your males I was told to turn off the lights and move evrything around to make them think they've moved and now has to make friends. When I added the skirt tetras I added a log so my plecostamus would have more room but he still stays in his ship :/ I also added a bubble wand which everyone really enjoys, especially Alexander, he'll hide between the wand and the side of the tank then randomly leaves the current take him up. He tries to play with the skirts swimming around them or randomly floating up and watching them. I also have a small school of neon tetras which alexander leaves alone. I've heard of and have had much success with tetras. So with your betta I would add tetras also corydoras have been added to males with much success as well.
