air stone questions

hey guys, it's been awhile since i've been on! anyhow...

anyone out there have a tank where it's got the airstone thingy? my guy bruiser is in a 2 gallon hexagon thats got the airbubble ma bobber and im beginning to think it might be tearing up his fins that i've been trying to grow back since i went on vaca back in july... is there anythign i can buy to slow the bubble flow down? my only other thought is to take it out completely but i honestly dont like the idea of oxygen not circulating in his tank?

I have 2 airstones sitting in a drawer. I've never had the nerve to try them out. lol

he really will be fine with out it, if your tank is the one im thinking i have two and my betas dont have the air. i have tried it and they seem to not like it. it looks like it makes it difficult to swim and they cant be proud of their bubble nest. you could try not using if for a couple days and then decide if you think he needs it.

Better off without. I have even tried running them through a gang valve to control the flow, but they are very fussy... either it's on full blast or not on at all. I could not get it to run slwer without turning it off lol.
