Hi! I'm new here, but anyways I recently got a baby betta from petco and I've done some research on them and I feel like I've gotten some search overload and I'm quite lost. My baby is about 1 in and I want to put him or her (unsure of sex) in a bigger tank with a sponge filter and heater. I want to put the fish in a 10 gallon tank but I'm not sure if that's too big for him or her. Also, I would like to know any type of tips that experienced people have. Currently I'm feeding it micropellets and freeze dried bloodworms. So yeah... please help!!
P.S. His or her name is going to be either Victor or Victoria.

I would think if s/he seems to be stressed out by the open space in the 10 gallon you could either add lots of plants and hiding places, or you could section off that tank and move the divider over a little bit as your squirt gets bigger until it is comfortable with having the full 10 gallons to its self.
