Fin bitter

He did it a bit 1 day but for the past 2 weeks I think he is doing it more and more.
:'( Is there anything I can do to help him.
(I treated with salt stress coat) about 2-3 weeks ago. I did the salt for 8 days and the stress coat for about 2 weeks.

Also his water measurements
PH 8
Nitrite 0
Ammonia 0.25(water comes out like that too)
Nitrate 10

He is in a 10 gallon heated and filtered tank.

He is a halfmoon so I know it can be common, but is there ways to help him heal? And what are the more concerning things to happen? His tips seems slightly discolored but I could be mistaken.
I don't have much decor, but I am slowly fixing that.
Could the light not be on, enough or to much?

Thanks for advice.

Having lots of hiding places will help. Bettas love to hide and explore, so the more decor and plants you can get, the better. In the meantime, you can just keep his water warm and clean and possibly dark so he doesn't feel too exposed. He could be biting because he is stressed from not having enough places to hide.

In the meantime he isnt going to bite himself to death right?

Well, he could bite to the point that he doesn't have much of a tail or fins, then they could get infected and the infection could kill him if not cared for immediately and properly. But technically, no he can't kill himself from biting alone.
