If he starts jumping more than usual, take him out immediately! I almost learned the hard way, as I put my boy Dei in an old Penny jar, and he started jumping like mad. After a quick google search, I learned he was trying to escape the toxins that were spreading into the water. After I moved him he doesn't jump at all, except at feeding times.
