Lily plants put out a bunch of roots and really spread out, they do look weird, maybe I will try and get a picture of mine today when I do a water change. Love my Lily plant its the most easiest fastest growing plant I have ever had.

I lol'd while reading this thread ^_^

Yeah my water wisteria and Amazon Swords give out those types of roots too. While the roots deeper below can be thick, they can also have smaller roots that form as well to hold the plant extra well in the substrate

My houseplants throw out roots like that. Usually from their stem.
