@ Russell Crowe How big is your tank? Maybe she would prefer something smaller. Your betta might be agoraphobic.

Oh I see. 10 gallons is a lot for just one little female if in fact she is alone. Maybe a few new tank mates would help her to be more outgoing. Like say a few more girls?

I heard that if you want multiple female betas you should put them all in at the same time. If i add a couple could that cause some problems?

They will have to establish a pecking order which is normal. It just decides who's dominant. It's also a good idea to rearrange your tank before you add new girls to prevent fighting over established territory. But it's not dangerous to add new girls.
