When I kept two males together, they flared at each other often. I think this was due to the fact that I put them in a smaller tank than I should have...

Eventually they relaxed a bit. They'd still flare whenever they saw each other, but it wasn't as intense and they'd swim away after a while.

It took most of them a week and than they basically get over it, but sometimes when they're both by the divider, they'll start flaring.
