greetings

Hi there.
I live in the countryside so my water is from a borehole, with a biological filter and my water tests are ok now, but its been a long steep learning curve, as I have lost lots of different fish in the past year.

I had never quarantined fish before, and had always mixed the water, but after reading lots and on this forum, I now put new fish in a quarantine tank for 3 weeks in flagellol( to kill internal parasites) as the these female bettas have had them and also I have purchased Fishtamin and feed them a little garlic and doing regular water changes which seem to be working.

Just introduced my new Blue VT and red female back in communal tank- seem ok -no fighting.

they were in quarantine for just under 2 weeks in Flagellol( says 3 days)

they seem fine now.
Also put a 'bakotab direct' in tank for 3 days
Bakotab says it kills baterial infections- such as bloating, pop eye and lethargy and also loss of appetite.

so will leave them with that for 3 days and then do a water change. (y) :)

well just had to remove female from tank. :(
As I suspected- male chases female to death( her tail also has been nibble by the looks of things)
Keeping her in a temp 5L water bottle for a while until i get some more females to put together.
