Fin regrowth

Hey guys, will BettaFix help treat fins that have been half eaten?? I know it's good for finrot.... I've been putting it in Rosalie's isolation tank. Her fins are pretty chewed up... how long will it take for regrowth to start???

Yes, it will heal damaged fins.

i think healing time always depends on the damage and the individual fish. its immune system. you usually see the nipped part start turning clear at first. ive had a few females not get their color back in a few nip spots though. stayed clear..........anyone else?

I am not buying into this whole BettaFix thing. Seems like a gimmick and I have heard (correct me if wrong) that it isn't too fabulous for their labyrinth organ. When it comes to tissue regrowth this is what I recommend"

Frozen/Live Bloodworms: They're packed with protein, which is essentially what the betta is made of lol.
Aquarium Salt: Keeps electrolytes up and boosts immune system, sort of like Gatorade for fish.
Stress-Coat: Formulated to increase mucous production, guarding the open tissue from infection.
Clean Water: To prevent infection
Warm Water: Boosts metabolism and speeds up healing process.

i believe anyone with bettas should be doing what kelly said, everyday for their fishes environment, not just for tissue regrowth

I believe that its best to avoid using meds if you can but sometimes you have to resort to using them if the problem is severe enough.
