I think all blacks with blue iridescent are melanos. Since melanos are bred using steel blue females.

So he would produce steel blues if I bred him?

His colour hasn't changed, though, which makes me happy. I had always wanted a black betta. :)

Omg! I just went to feed him dinner and he already has a little bubble nest going!

And Gloria got so excited at the prospect of food that she jumped out and landed on my feet...

I'll have to lower the water level a bit more before I leave tomorrow...

Yup! Only way I can describe Gloria: MAJOR pig, lol.
