He is a very pretty he. Females have short fins like the one in my avitar. Welcome to the forum and the Betta addiction.

Do you think he is sick? I just got him last Saturday.

In the picture he looks fine. Is there a reason you think he may be sick?

Well my husband thought he was sick. And for me I am not sure since this is my first time having a fish and all. But thanks for letting me know he is not sick. That's a big relief. Thanks again.

He looks alright, although like mentioned above, we cant see his activity :)

But if hes eating and not to lethargic he should be alright.

Make sure not to over feed him and to maintain a suitable water temperature like 72-82 degrees F.

A betta for a first fish is a great choice , they are so beautiful and very hearty! A betta was my first fish and im so happy with them! now I have 7!
