Heater

hey everyone, i just bought a tetra mini heater (i think that is the name). i have a 2.5 gal tank and it says that i can put it under gravel or on the side of the tank. i tried to put it under the gravel and everything just wasnt sitting flat, so its now on the side of the tank. i have it on a timer, so it cycles throughout the day, but my question is, chloe is swimming behind it, there is enough room, but will it get too hot for her to touch it? should i just deal with things not quite flat on the bottom or just let her have fun swimming behind it?

I don't think so.
I have a different heater, but my bettas swim next to theirs all the time and they're fine.
I think heaters are only just warm enough to slowly heat up the water, they don't actually get hot.
