Front of tank?

i have recently purchased a new tank. after ripping off all the stickers and giving it a good clean, i forgot to make sure which side of the tank faces front. on the black trimming at the top of the tank (not the hood), there are two slits. does that face the front or back? it would be great if someone could check their tank and let me know.

if there's a curved side that's the front. the slits are probably openings for cords for heaters and lights- so that's the back
