Yeah they are fun plants. That hibernation period is really important to them. Im going to be propagating the flytraps via tissue culture method. Venus Flytraps are an amazing plant that seems to work very well in my terrariums. Also fun to feed them my little nephews were just amazed. Oh I just figured out that in NZ it is winter so that's why yours are in hibernation and mine in full grow mode.
Lol yeah, cant wait to get it out again though. Its so rewarding seeing that its caught a massive insect. I had it sitting on the rubbish bin outside over summer and it had the time of its life catching all kinds of insects.
Never really understood the importance of hibernation until this current plant though. The first one I got years ago completely died.
Also before it went into hibernation this year it started growing smaller and smaller traps. Any reason why?
