i decided not to get the heater for now. whith my new therm. it shows that his water is staying at a consistant 72 degrees. I think he would get to hot with a heater yes?
A heater might make it too warm. But 72 is a little chilly. 75 seems to be the coldest they can take without becoming lethargic but 78-80 does the trick, at least for my betta.
I keep mine at a steady 80F + one.. and jasper loves it, well that's what i get from all the sign's he's giving me, building a bubble nest and his color got brighter.
yea so heat really helps them, i really recommend some sort of heating device!
Whoops! So it turns out those aren't safe.... so disregard my last post. Because it's so small and you need heating I don't really have any suggestions for you besides a lamp.
